Sticking my neck out.

High, fast water, again. Now I'm in it. This is my venture into the fast water coming down Hanson's Slough. Thats Adams Island in front of me. Notice a couple things. First the nose of my shakey little 15 foot Sawyer Summersong and second the way the water looks like someone is setting off depth charges down deep. That rippling and bubbling is from below, its not my wake. Its surprising how many opposing directions current can push you at the same time. The flat water just in front of me is moving faster than I can paddle. Time for some quick back-paddling back into Shaff Creek.
